Sarah Feather Design Ltd was formed on the final day of Sarah’s degree show in 1993, due to the immediate demand for her work. The combination of fruit, flowers, feathers and other organic elements with natural fabrics are the inspiration for her ideas. These can be incorporated into endless designs, from wall hangings to greeting cards, all of which are unique. Sarah’s talent for combining traditional craft techniques and contemporary design results is now a highly recognised individual style. The trademark of Sarah’s work has become ‘the pocket’ encasing elements within layers of silk, finished with stitching. Her unique method of preserving fruit in fabric, has been so successful that Sarah has now patented the idea. The delicate results are stunning. Clients include Barneys, Neiman Marcus and Smith & Hawken, in the States and Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Liberty’s and Heal’s in the U.K.
